Our philosophy
We are a child-safe organization, with the rights and best interests of children at the forefront of all we do. We engage in reflective practice, are committed to continuous improvement, and strive to expand our knowledge and understanding.
We support children’s wellbeing, individual needs, diversity and perspectives through listening to their voices. We are advocates for children, supporting them to become lifelong learners who construct and understand their identity through their environment and interactions.
We acknowledge and recognize the Australia’s first people and embed, recognise, and acknowledge Indigenous perspectives across our program and service. Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island cultures are valued, and we understand it is our shared responsibility to contribute to a better society and sustainable environment.

We recognise and value the important connections between our children, their families, and the community. Many of our children’s families become good friends both inside and outside of Livingston for years to come. It is also important to create strong links between the kindergarten and home, so we have an open-door policy for parents to pop in when they can (with working with children checks) so you too can become a part of the community where your child will thrive.
From working bees to helping with incursions/ excursions, social nights, fundraising events, and our parent-run committee, there are many ways for every family to be involved.
We strive to create a strong sense of belonging for our families. We have a nurturing, diverse environment and genuine sense of community, and we respect and celebrate each other’s knowledge and strengths.
